The year is 1901 and the African slave girl, Musi, has killed her Arab owner and freed her father who now lies dead. The emeralds scattered in the sand have brought her nothing but pain but if she can bury them with her father he will be rich in the afterlife.
In 1949 Calvin Burns journeys up the Luangwa River seeking a fortune in buried emeralds. The treasure will buy him a hotel in America and a life with Karen.
It is 2006. The Americans, Tom Dugan and Gabe Adams are running for their lives carrying thirty pounds of precious emeralds.Colonel Zima has sent his best trackers now someone must die.
About the Author
Al Starner wrote THE EMERALD HOTEL after a gem hunting adventure in Zambia, Africa. An article about the trip first appeared in Rock and Gem Magazine. Al is a life long gem and mineral collector, big game hunter, pilot and skydiver. His work has been published in SOLDIER OF FORTUNE and FLYING MAGAZINE. Al gathered material for EMERALD around the campfires in southern Africa and along the shores of the great Luangwa River. His second novel, CHEYENNE DIAMONDS will be available next year.
