About the Author

I was born in Madrid, Spain from wonderful parents who taught me that love is the essence of life, and though I grew up during the civil war I was surrounded by the love of a very caring extended family and in spite of the war I enjoyed a very happy life. Father wrote poetry, and I loved poetry since I was very young, but I did not think about writing it until much later in life. I married an American Air Force officer from whom I have two children. I dedicated my life to my family and it was not until my sons graduated from school that I started to write poetry. I love poetry; I think it is a great way to express our emotions.
