About the Book

Book Summary The Brothers Three is the sorrowful short story that chronicles the impending fate of three gay men who were friends and acquired AIDS through sex and drug usage. This story depicts their lives surrounding AIDS and the toll it would take on each of them and their families. Spending a part of their young lives together, they then parted ways and went to various parts of the United States. They went to larger cities where being Gay was more acceptable than in small town Illinois. Two of them were uprooted by parents and the other left because he was fearful of family rejection. None of the three produced children although a pregnancy by one of them was aborted. Contrary to belief by some, being Gay does not contribute to a person acquiring AIDS. If any one of the brothers were here now, I’m sure they would tell everyone to practice safe sex, do not “shoot up” drugs and to be tested for HIV/AIDS. DO NOT PUT YOURSELVES AT RISK!! As the three became ill,( one by one) two of the brothers were fortunate in having family members by their side until they died. The other died alone…no family, no friends. The Mothers would watch their two sons suffer and deteriorate before their very eyes. AIDS would control and seal their destiny, but they are reunited in death. MAY THEY REST IN PEACE
