About the Book
“Ever Heard of Us?” is a collection of stories discovering the uniqueness of animals living in various areas of the world. The purpose of the book is to stimulate one’s awareness of and interest in the variety of nature’s creatures. Each of the animals in this selection has at least one unusual characteristic distinguishing it from other animals. For example, the okapi’s tongue is long enough to wash its own eye lids and ears. The leaf-miner, one of the tiniest creatures, lives between the layers of a tree or plant leaf and its existence is seen only by the slight burrow in the leaf.
