About the Book

I was one lucky duck, ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬except I was a dog! I had just been adopted by a nice lady who smelled like a giant flower. She took me home and gave me chew toys and doggie food that was almost as good as Momma’s faucet food. I was her “little man” and her “cutesy wutesy” with a “precious” bull’s-eye of dark hair on my side. We even had the same kind of spots, but she called her spots freckles. We were in love. She was my destiny. But as the days passed, I found out that destiny can change. My flower master had a boyfriend. I tried my best, but he didn’t like me. I even learned not to cry when he hit me. Suddenly, I was just four-legged trouble. For some reason, I wasn’t cute or a man. The boyfriend made sure I was just a mutt. And that’s where my real story begins….

About the Author

Melinda Lewis was a school teacher in Texas for over twenty years. During that time, she also worked as a school librarian where she noticed the need for books dealing with the problem of bullying. After she was given Bob, who had been rescued from an abusive situation, she noticed how his behavior was similar to children she had taught who had faced bullying. She hopes her books will help children understand bullying and help them address the problem as they follow Bob’s journey back from’ abuse.
