About the Book

“PASSPORT TO WINE KNOWLEDGE” is a concise book of the science and technique of wine, which offers a collection of informations and suggestions targeting the reader whose work or personal interest touches on a relating topic. Based in part on my view that wine is not just a product for plain consumption, but a part of modern civilization, the volume spans a range of regional and time periods .d draws upon. an understanding of certain geographical aid political conditions as possible factors, using general straightforward language in an effort to create a thorough yet accessible resource. The author concludes with some thoughts about “the fragility of wine”, which he sees as a “living property, typically requiring the collaboration of art and patience, of time and care”. Overall this writing is designed to pay a kind of tribute to such processes as well as to enlighten and provoke thoughts. Mary-Beth Pappas Media Publishing LLC Alexandria, Virginia “If you enjoy history and geography, this is a fine example of a book, for you to read. It will not only give you insight and understanding with the wonderful scenes of the world, but provide you with a thoroughly comprehensible vocabulary how wine found its place in the civilized world”. Edouard Beringer History Professor University of Miami Florida “Passport to wine knowledge, overdue for a long time, is a tremendous writing about the science and technique of wine. Some specific informations give the reader an excellent description in a clear presentation. My compliments to the author, a long time friend of mine”. Dr. David Skinner Washington D.C.
