About the Book
Take an always adventurous, sometimes heartbreaking, and in-the-end triumphant journey with Colton. In Spit(*)Fire, Colton’s mother is dead, his father is in the Iraq war, and he has been forced to move from the back country of West Virginia to the busy and chaotic streets of Staten Island with his Aunt CiCi. As a loner, making friends is tough, and keeping his new enemies away is even tougher. In a story of loyalty, danger, and compassion, Colton offers us a character that has a fight-for-your-life attitude—and some pretty serious special and secret abilities. Join Noah, Corrine, Joma, Boris, Rafael, and many other intriguing characters in a classic boy versus nature tale that will open your eyes and keep your heart pounding. Will Joma survive? Will James destroy Colton in the wild? Who wins in the Rafael vs. Noah battle of the skies? The answers are all in Spit(*)Fire, waiting to be read.
