I'M Alex! I'M Two!

About the Book

This story is told in the first person. The child telling this story is Alex, our grandson, who recently turned two years old! He tells us about his two year old adventures, beginning with his exciting two year old birthday party where Spiderman appeared! Spiderman shows Alex & his brother, Jacob, how to make web fingers and how to make big muscles! Spiderman gives Alex a Spiderman ball to throw in the white net and then a big Spiderman ball to play “bounce, bounce, bounce”! In the rest of the story Alex tells about his two year old experiences, his trip to the Hands on Museum where he plays with a tool box and builds a high wall with big foam blocks and big boxes, his fun time going down the slide at his favorite park, going down the inflatable slide at the bouncy, bouncy place, and then on to the library where there is story time, craft, computer time, train sets to play with, puzzles, coloring, etc.

About the Author

The author, Joyce Ann Landon, grew up in Kidron. Ohio, in a Mennonite community. She has an undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Elementary Education, from Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana. She received her Masters Degree in Reading from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan. She taught Second Grade in the Ann Arbor Public Schools in Ann Arbor, Michigan for 17 years. She also taught Third Grade and Fourth Grade in Elementary Schools in Ohio and other parts of Michigan. She taught Elementary School for a total of 265 years. She retired three years ago and now resides with her husband, Dennis, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dennis and Joyce had three children. Their son, Doug, works as an attorney in Phoenix, Arizona. Their daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, Andy, and their two sons reside in Dansville, Michigan, a one hour drive from Ann Arbor! They have the wonderful opportunity of babysitting their grandsons once a week! They really do have a special day with their grandsons. Part of the story is an accurate portrayal of their “special day” with their grandson, Jacob, each week! Baby Alex was born on Sept. 13, 2008. Alex birth is in this story!
