About the Book

Having just finished college, any grad would’ve been excited to begin a career in the field she majored in, unless of course, she secretly hated it. As was Sandy’s story. She attempts to postpone the inevitable until the end of summer, which backfires. Little did she know that her mother and uncle had other plans for her, plans which she detested almost as much as or even more so than her major. In any event, Sandy endeavors to break away from the family’s traditions and have a fun filled summer without interference. Was that going to happen? Not a chance, unless, if falling prey to a whirlwind of uncomfortable situations filled with rejection, heartbreak and unexpected turn of events is considered fun. Darn if her first free day didn’t come with two favors that ultimately change her life.

About the Author

Jeannie Yee Davis is a freelance writer. She writes from her home in South San Francisco, California, where she resides with her husband, Mark. Her short stories appear in Long Story Short, e-Clips and Applecart Magazine. She authored two columns for The Voice, her church's newsletter, entitled, Pleasing God 24/7 and A Moment in His Light. The Accidental Columnist is her debut novel—the first in the series. She is currently working on the third installment.
