About the Book
Prayer is a subject, which we are all familiar with. Our understanding of its practice and use, however, is another question. If prayer is to be a part of our lives, we need to understand it so it will not be superficial or just a habitual exercise of meaningless words and phrases. None of us may be able to name the source that leads us to our understanding of prayer. The proper sources of true prayer should come from the solid foundations of our faith. Thus, examination the prayer life of Jesus, Paul, and the thoughts of great theologians of the church should enlighten our views and our practices on prayer. Challenging our traditional views, there are many ways to pray. If it deepens our thoughts by opening our minds, hearts, and souls to God, it will be an answer to our prayer.
