About the Book

Most of us would agree that controversial material can be fun to read, but did you ever think it could be informative as well? Did you ever think that bringing truth to bear on false teachings could also be used as a tool to help people see God in His True colors? Reverend David F. Cowdery didn’t think so until he wrote “Knocking Down Pillars”. The original intent of the book was to prove, from a Biblical point of view, that certain teachings within some Christian churches are dangerous and even toxic to those who follow them. These man-made doctrines were designed to help people, but because the Bible does not support them they have caused the very things they were striving to prevent.

Reverend Cowdery has always been passionate about the truth and he has found over the years that the Bible is the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth! The only way to have peace, health, wealth, prosperity, and a life of “nothing missing – nothing broken” is to follow the only person who is “The WAY”, “The TRUTH”, and “The LIFE” – Jesus Christ Himself! When we build our lives on falsehoods we end up living a lie – a life filled with unnecessary pain and suffering.

Prompted by the Holy Spirit, Reverend Cowdery started writing these articles not knowing that God had a plan for them. At the onset, he was not sure why God wanted him to tackle these particular articles in the order they appear in the book. After examining the book once the articles were completed, he was able to see the plan God had for his writing. By reading the book, you too will be able to see God’s anointed plan for this book and its ultimate purpose – a purpose that will pleasantly surprise you!

In correcting the false teaching of God condemning people to hell, this book proves how there is only one way anyone can avoid the eternal damnation of hell. By addressing the topic of God being responsible for the state of our world, the Bible reveals some shocking truths about the origin of evil itself, how creation was designed, and why we are not only capable of doing what is wrong, but why we have difficulty doing what is right. When the Bible addresses the statement “You are a sinner saved by grace”, some startling truths are revealed about how Christians should live and why they are not experiencing the victory they ought to.

The Truth is really out there, but there are those who are either ignorant of it or are deliberately attempting to conceal it! In this easy to read book, readers can find the truth about these doctrines and how these truths can help them have a life of victory and prosperity that is beyond imagination. Even though it may seem like it is too good to be true, it really is possible to have this kind of life – if you are willing to build your lives on the foundation of Truth!
