About the Book
Felix and Trivia are both just fifteen years of age when a mission beyond imagination is bestowed upon them, as a horrific natural force known as the Void takes possession of Felix’s dying grandfather and reveals to them its plans for utter destruction of the worlds as they know them. And in those few fate-changing moments, Felix and Trivia learn that they themselves must finish writing a living legend, and collect 12 mystical objects that contain the only natural powers strong enough to stop this terrifying foe. And so they begin, two intrepid yet rather naïve teens, on a journey that takes them to some of the darkest and deadliest corners of the world, in a search for these ‘Hearts of the Earth’ that grows more and more terrifying as it intensifies. And while they battle the elements that these hearts use to protect themselves, there lies around every corner still more for Felix and Trivia to combat. Not only must they face tyrants and thieves that haunt their path, they must also come to grips with what is in their very selves. Felix cannot relinquish the loving memories of his grandfather, and Trivia wonders time and time again where the magic that is love comes from, and all the while they find their lives at stake every time they open their eyes. It’s one of fantasy’s coming of age stories, one that unveils the greatest difficulties that can come when tackling the life lessons we all must one day face. But Felix and Trivia are forced to learn the hardest way possible, as it means watching as the bravest of friends die, and as the fist of tyranny leaves its bloody marks upon generations. The journey of a lifetime that this story follows connects worlds into one, and in the process reveals how it is that our Earth and our hearts really work.
