About the Author

I was born in the state of New York, and attended the Kennedy King School after a couple of years I moved to South Carolina to live with my grandmother and aunts they were slaves. After attending the Latta elementary school I would work on a farm after I was a sharecropper also so I have a little bit of slavery in my blood. So I decided to move to Marion, S.C. Continuing my education at Jonakin Junior High School and also Marion High school in which I graduated. Going back to New York I went to cosmetology school. In 1994 I was inducted into National Poetry Hall of Fame. After attending the School of the Performing art studying poetry and drama the sonnets meter writing of poetical verses. I wanted to publish my book of poetry I hope that everyone enjoy their reading.
