About the Book

Speed Still is a collection of 45 short stories. The stories range from humor, romance, Americana, Odes celebrating life’s simple pleasures to stories to be shared with the family at bedtime. The essence of these stories is to give snapshots of various characters that all of us have met at one time or another. In these characters is found the courage to make the most out of life, profound optimism, deep love, the value of humor, and the recognition of how daily events make our lives so precious.

About the Author

Peter Stabolepszy was born and raised in Colorado – a state he adores. He grew up hearing stories from the elders he so admired that lived through the Great Depression on the Colorado prairie. He had the fortune to be inspired by the lands he grew up in, namely Boulder, the San Luis Valley, Durango, Leadville, and the Rocky Mountains. He is an avid mountaineer and spends as much time as he can up in them thar hills - of course, accompanied by a fine cup of java.
