About the Book

The little rich girl loves Christmas and wants others to also love Christmas. And in her own unique way—with her wagon full of candy canes and with her dog Cupid—she sets out on a journey into Christmas as she sees it. On the way, she learns something from the Face of Time and from the Hand of Time—and something from Santa and from some magical dancing candy canes. When her small journey finally ends, she understands that a bigger journey is just beginning. What that journey is—for her or for anyone—is not about the journey itself, but to finish whatever journey it is that for whatever reason you chose to begin.

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHOR I graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh in 1971 with a degree in philosophy. I then spent the next 15 years pondering the philosophical question WHY. Why am I having trouble paying the rent? Why am I having trouble again with my car? Why do these things called utilities keep showing up in the mail every month? Why do I have to keep paying them again and again? I had learned that philosophy is not like artwork that can be sold at an auction--and not like the construction of a building or machinery that can be sold. And so I went back to school--and became a math instructor. Eventually, I found the right equations that answered all those WHY questions. Not that my car began to run any better, or that the rent and utilities stopped piling up. But at least I had learned WHY. And then I began to write things down describing life as it is--and eventually as I might like it. And that's when I ran into The Little Rich Girl who one day appeared magically before me. And she is still there.
