About the Book

It’s Thanksgiving on the Donnelly farm, and Dexter is not happy about being the “Turkey of choice” this year. He tries to think of possible ways to get out of his “destiny” but none of the animals on the farm are any help, mainly because it’s not their neck on the line. Dexter decides to run away from the farm so he doesn’t have to die. Only to his surprise, did he end up on a different farm that had barely any food or animals to keep a starving dog alive. As happy as Dexter was in arriving at a struggling farm, he found out that there were two little girls that were not so happy. Because of Dexter, this Thanksgiving day could be the most important day for him and for this family.
