About the Book

noneOur Shadows Speak is a chapbook by Adam S. Gagnon. The poems were compiled over ten years and gleaned from notebooks fi lled to “deal with neurotic impulses and tame schizophrenic tendencies.” This assertion is a way to describe poems that were written in his youth, dealing with uncertainty.

Some poems take their inspiration from events in the author’s life while most of them are the creations of a daydreamer.

About the Author

Little is known about Adam S. Gagnon. A few facts have come to light through the hazy memories of friends and the exaggerations of family that claim him. Only one thing is certain; he is a nomad, wandering aimlessly throughout upstate South Carolina. His days are spent trying to justify his idle hands by making them less idle. This has gotten him nowhere, which is a great accomplishment considering there are a lot worse places to end up. One day he hopes to be flung into space. He lives in the hope that his imagination will be as tangible as the book you are holding.
