About the Book

Of all the women in the Bible, Hagar is my favorite one. Her story is found in Genesis 16. Most of us know little about this woman and the role she played, although countless sermons have been delivered about Abraham and Sarah. I believe the repression of this woman’s story is a wrongdoing that I have intentionally determined to rectify in this book. Through the story of Hagar’s life, I have found inspiration for many of the characters in ‘A Great Nation.’

About the Author

My name is Deborah Randall and as a teenager, I would dream of becoming a ‘star.’ However, when adulthood came, my aspirations were placed on whole, when I was blessed with a son. It was during this period in my life, that writing had taken on a much greater meaning. Where it had once been a tool to becoming a ‘star’ had now transformed itself into a means of reaching the hurting. I believe that God has given each of us gifts that He wants to use to minister for Him. I feel honored to be one of His workers.
