Janis was born in Oklahoma and currently lives in Texas. She is an author and artist. She enjoys writing and designing but most of all she enjoys playing with her grandson! When Janis told her grandson this poem he said “say it to me again Mimi!” Now he says the poem with Mimi! She is married with 2 children, 1 grandson and 1 step grandson. Janis wrote this poem for her children when they were very young. She loves to write and design about laughter and memories that have become special in her heart. People who have read this poem say it is adorable. Children can learn from it by understanding they do not always need to be the leader. Sometimes it is just as much fun to be “equal” with their friends! It’s okay to win and it’s okay to lose, but it’s especially okay…to go fishing! See ya!
