About the Author

James (Jim) Mullen, a first-time published writer, lives in Antioch, IL, with his wife. He is a 68-year old career Human Resources professional, who previously used his B.A. with an English Major from the University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y., principally to support business propositions and arguments in his corporate working lifetime. In recent years, Jim began to write weekly opinions on a wide variety of subjects to a small audience of family and friends. His motive for doing so was simple—to satisfy his urge to write, and thus entertain that close circle of acquaintances with his personal views. The multiple traumas that befell his beloved wife, Judy, beginning in 2008, inspired Jim to a greater cause—to tell this story to a wider audience and, thus, to provide a personal catharsis for his anguish, and to prove the hope, love, and ultimate triumph of Judy and her family and friends across the country.
