About the Book

When Sandy Hayward’s father died, he was relocated from the Eastern Oregon ranch that he loved, to the Oregon Coast town of Nehalem to live with his aunt and uncle and their family. Soon, he became interested in the Indian legends, and stories of treasure hunting in the Neah-kah-nie mountain area. He is fascinated with the old hermit, Kloshe Tillicum, who claims him as his long lost son, Soto. A newcomer to the area, he is unfamiliar with the tides, and so, fi nds himself caught in several perilous predicaments trying to fi nd a passage way to the Cavern of Treasure Cove!
