About the Author

I, “Soareal,” “writers pen name,” Anne Gravitt, have always had a very special gift. Through my experiences, I realized long ago that I have much to offer. I have a special gift that excels into strong creativity from the simplest things in life. I have chosen to share my gift of seeing the difference our choices can make. I was born in Dodge county in a little shack in the middle of the woods. My mother was only thirteen years old, and after three years she left me with my father. At the age of six, daddy had me adopted out by private adoption. Two years later my adopted mother died, then I had an adopted step-mother. That lasted for two more years, then I was signed off to a second adoption. After three years she was commited to a mental institution, and I was placed in a foster home. I remained there for three years, then I was placed in another foster home in Griffin, Ga. ; where I remained. Several teachers wanted me to make writing a career then, but I wanted something I had never had… a family. I raised a family of two beautiful daughters and have maintained my business there in Griffin, a professional salon, for approximately sixteen years. My interest in writing has only grown stronger through the years, and I have always known I would know when the time was right for a new career. I chose the title "What About me", because we all feel that way at some point in our walk through life. And we feel the same when something happens around us that totally involves us. Here, we often suffer supression. We push our personal feelings to one side because we feel we do not have the right to ask, what about me, no matter how hard the journey gets. All of my young years were submerged in these what about me feelings we all share. I finally realized that it has been all about me, and all that I have learned from the journey to my destiny here on earth. My what about me feelings have fallen away, and there submerged a gentle reward... the beginning of my writing career. I realized that there is one special individual who also sits high above us and wonders, what about me? Guess who? You will find a gentle touch of spirituality in most of my stories because I love to write about life and the things that we may, or may not choose. My stories are derived from reality and dreams taken into the imagination with surprise and charming endings... a strong walk between life and death. I share a different view of the choices we make, with a simple twist of the imagination. And remember, my life has been much like the stories you will be reading.... from dreams, reality, or the imagination? You decide! "Oh, by the way, that was six mothers and five fathers... totaled."
