About the Book
SUSAN MITCHELL, creator of The Tao of Movement, understands the human body. She also understands pain, injury and the healing process. A former professional dancer and fully certified Master of Pilates, Susan is dedicated to the art of movement. Her experience reflects that dedication. Prior to opening her Pilates studio, Susan danced for two ballet companies and has an extensive musical theater resume. Some of her favorite dance credits include The Radio City Christmas Spectacular and The Broadway World Tour of West Side Story. In addition to performing, she has assisted Director Barry Ivan with productions of West Side Story at the State Opera House of Augsburg, Germany, Camelot at the Walnut Street in Philadelphia, Cabaret at the North Shore Music Theater just outside of Boston and Carousel at the Maine State Music Theater. She also assisted Physical Therapist, Lisa Ryer, for a year before graduating Magna Cum Laude from Point Park University. Susan currently works in referral with Dr. Ellen Coyne, Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine and President of the New York Chiropractic Association.
