About the Book

Emily, the central character in The Shadow Upstream, writes the book’s introduction from the Other Side. In Paradise, her nerves and body restored, she directs the reader to her “files” which are replete with the nature of reality; human origins, eerie discoveries in science and consciousness, as well as recordings of Emily´s last years on earth. Emily is the first of a new human, breaking barriers that keep us in illusion. This work will appeal to readers of visionary fiction, metaphysics, the mysteries, new science, new age, comedy and art sensibilities.

About the Author

Angela Menking is author of In Her Garden Encroaching On the Iris (visionary nonfiction) which Terence McKenna, author of True Hallucinations, described as, “a fin de wunderkammer…that precedes the end of history.” She wrote about UFO abduction theories for Healing Shattered Reality by Seebach and Bryant. Her poems, ‘Her Creatures’ and ‘Beach Hare’ are published in Porcupine Literary Arts magazine (vol.7 issue1). She has worked for twenty years as a psychiatric and cardiac nurse. She has a Master’s degree in the Great Books from St. John’s college. She is an original and stunning artist.
