About the Book

In fire and brimstone, Jack In The Pulpit explodes!

With the recent spate of sex scandals occurring in the church, L. Guy Burton shines a timely light on depraved humanity through his newest novel Jack In The Pulpit-Revelation:(Discover what lurks behind this preacher’s robe), underscoring a tendency to look up to, or down on individuals based solely on their social labeling.

But what if we could listen in on the minds of those about whom we have formed impulsive opinions? Would we find the whore to be all bad?... Or the preacher to be all good?

In this potent rendering, a dominatrix with a HOT body joins the church of a preacher with a fiery delivery and all Hell breaks loose.

Maria Cappo, a young divorced woman in her twenties, is rushed by ambulance to a hospital emergency room in the early morning hours. The once-attractive face of Maria--a high-priced prostitute--has been battered by a pimp, and she now lies in a coma.

Maria is in an on-going struggle with her conscience and while she is bitter about the hand life has dealt her, she is torn between the pleasures of an immoral lifestyle, and becoming "born again." However, until there eventually comes a turning point, she always seems able to justify her behavior and get past any feelings of guilt--this with approval from her deceitful pastors who subject her to sexual exploitation.

About the Author

L. Guy Burton was portrayed--in his youth--as a wild "outlaw motorcycle gangster" by young girls' parents, while in contrast to that image he wrote poetry, played (and still does) the saxophone, wrote lyrics and music. "My jobs included factory work, foundry work operating an overhead crane, and ultimately, a prestigious management career with IBM," he says with pride. "Then, getting paid to play music, and to put words on paper that someone else would want to read were ultimate dreams come true."
