About the Book
At the age of eight Brian Foley realizes that he is going to die someday—he just doesn’t know when. Growing up in the normal craziness of the last half of the twentieth century, Brian wants to be a hero; all he has to do is find out how to become one. This is the story of Brian’s search for immortality and the meaning of life, and how he eventually succeeds in his quest, sort of. Last Words is a romp through the cemetery of life, a comic and sorrowful reminder of our common destination. Powerful and personal, it is also a novel that offers the magic words for making life livable.
