About the Book
The Flying Colonel continues to accumulate mileage and traverse vast stretches of landscape, though his feet have remained almost exclusively on the ground as of late. An Egg on the Sill looks back on the years that have brought forth retirement, a retail venture, a brief brush with the law -- even trekking through the Himalayas with two steady spiritual guides, his daughters. The inertia of his once 250-day travel year has transformed into a kinetic fascination with a life far removed from the corporate canopy of the aviation insurance industry. An Egg on the Sill reveals the enormity of a man who is simultaneously low-key and extraordinary. If youÕve never taken a course on philosophy before, get ready for your first three credits.
