The decisions she makes ultimately shapes who she is and who she is trying to become. She falls in love with an abuser and experiences several years of her life in a diffident state. Though death becomes a way of life all around her, she is determined to overcome all odds. With children in her bossom and aspirations in her heart she avoids the inevitable grasp of the "hood".
About the Author
Elitia was born in New Orleans and lived there for 23 years of her life. Moving to New York City began Elitia's willingness to provide a nation with her past. She now enjoys being a student, teacher, daughter, wife, mother and humble servant. In her insightful yet modest years, Elitia has been a secretary, cashier, tutor, valet, security supervisor, operator, whirpool tech, nurse aide and salesperson. Many of these positions allowed her to interact with persons needing encouragement. While sharing her experiences to uplift others in he struggle, she began to pen her memoirs. The primary intent of this story is to prevent and deter others who see themselves facing similar situations.
