About the Book

The author warns that what you are about to read is, to quote an old, fairly well known scribe, “much ado about nothing.” However, if you are in tune with Dick Partridge at all, it’s possible that the personal observations he has committed to print here may strike a familiar chord with you, and possibly force you to smile now and then. This is a collection of his thoughts about people and situations that confronted him over many years and that were originally published in his hometown newspaper. Occasionally, the author says, “when I jogged my memory button to come up with an idea for my next column, I wrote about some special incident that may have either pleased or irritated me so much, that I thought it worthy of committing to paper. Other than that, all of the other subjects contain merely my musings.” Several might even be called a-musing.

About the Author

Dick Partridge started out in radio broadcasting in Charleston South Carolina., and went from there to New England, and finally New York, where he hosted WNEW’s “Milkman’s Matinee”. He appeared on many commercials on TV and Radio nationally, and hosted “Dialing For Dollars” on WNAC-TV in Boston. He turned to radio sales and became sales manager of WIOQ-FM, Philadelphia. Following that, he owned and managed his own small town radio station in Athol, Massachusetts, eventually retiring in the late 90’s. Boredom set in, and his writing is the result. He writes a weekly column for his hometown newspaper.
