About the Book

Zack was born in a house of prostitution and raised by a French Chef and a slave. His rise to prominence and power forms the framework of the book. Dorsey, his daughter, takes this power one step further, the step it took to influencing the highest office in the land. We travel the streets of New Orleans with Zack and on to a plantation in the Mississippi delta. Dorsey then takes us from there to Parchman, the Mississippi State prison. The book is filled with Southern history, romance and intrigue.

About the Author

My father was a doctor at the Mississippi State Prison; therefore, I was raised on the grounds. He died when I was eight years old and Mother took the position of postmistress at the prison. She remarried and World War 2 took us to Texas. I finished high school there and met and married Carl Max Henry, an Army Air Force pilot. We had four children, five grandchildren and now have 3 great grandchildren. My husband died in December of 1992. Having worked all my adult life plus raising children, writing had not been among my accomplishments. At the time of his death, my eyesight completely failed and I found myself with time on my hands. Writing has always been a love of mine and now I have the time to indulge. My talking computer and I have spent many a happy hour living in my imagination and putting it down on paper. "Fall Clover" is my first book, but not the last.
