About the Book
Now Bert (Chubby said) never did believe much in Fate or Karma. He was too busy staying out of trouble to ponder such things, but Roger, a buddy who was a bit on the religious side, would often prattle on about such lofty subjects. He had told Bert that all his problems were the result of bad Karma, chalked up from his earlier lives.
Although Bert wasn’t ready to swallow that, he did know the tangle of events that constantly peppered his life seemed, sooner or later, to land him in trouble—especially when it came to his encounters with the opposite sex.
He is, you see, unbelievably handsome. And, struck by his finely chiseled features, and all the other great stuff that comes ‘as standard’ on Bert, maidens and non-maidens alike are disarmed completely—usually at their first encounter. To gaze into his impish blue eyes, for his roguish smile, many women would have sold their soul. They found Bert utterly irresistible ; and that was his problem.
