About the Book

Like any other sixteen-year-old boy, Kyle goes to school, does his homework, and hangs out with friends. Life is good and Kyle wouldn’t have it any other way.

But, one day, strange things begin to happen. The birds he tends fear to fly near him. Then, a monster chases him through the forest. And when two new kids join Kyle¹s class, one stares at him with freaky, yellow eyes, and the other vanishes into thin air.

But strangest of all, this weirdness happens only to Kyle. And no matter how hard he tries to escape it, he can¹t. It was as if long ago Kyle was predestined to face paradoxes that tested his limits to their fullest.

About the Author

Born in1987, in Tallahassee, Florida, where he lived till he was ten, Zenas Cao moved to the Silicon Valley area in California. While completing middle school and high school, he traveled with his parents to many countries in Europe and Asia as well as to Australia. During the seven years before he turned seventeen in which he wrote-and rewrote-this fantasy, he lived with his mother in Palo Alto, California. They spent summers visiting his father and other relatives in China. When he wasn’t writing about the adventures of Kyle and his brother Jack, Zenas read widely, watched TV, and played video games and many sports. Today, he enjoys swimming, playing table tennis, and shooting pool.
