About the Author

Justin Askins is a Professor of English at Radford University. His many poems, articles, essays, book reviews and photos have appeared in a number of magazines and newspapers, including North Dakota Quarterly, South Carolina Review, Sports Afield and Flyfisherman. Almost all of his writing focuses on the natural world and issues concerning its preservation. He has lived in an isolated cabin deep in the woods of southwestern Virginia for the past eight years.
