About the Book
Ida's New Home is a picture book about a little spider who goes in search of a place to build her new home. She has many adventures along the way and must find Mr. Mouse to help her find the perfect spot to build her home before dark. The sing-song rhythm of the book is especially appealing to young children. The illustrations were drawn by a young artist, Shawn Hart, who is a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta, Maine, class of 2005 and is continuing his education in the arts.
About the Author
Mrs. Davis taught music to preschoolers, was a choir director and substitute music teacher in the local school systems. She worked in the Maine Legislature and owned and operated a bridal shop for several years. Her family now has a summer tourist business that conducts Lighthouse tours along the beautiful Maine coast
