About the Author

Entering the alarm industry in 1978, he has designed, sold and serviced central station, fire alarm, CCTV, burglar alarm, and access control systems. Engebretson is a contributing technical writer for SDM Magazine, providing a monthly column on networking as well as “Kinks & Hints.”
