About the Book
Thoughts from Pudge follows the real life antics of Pudge, a mixed breed, all American dog as he encounters various adventures. His first person narrative reveals some of his little idiosyncrasies which will give all of those who read an opportunity to laugh at the little waif who nearly lost his life at the end of a shotgun. Nine months of the year, Pudge lives on a forty acre farm, the other three months he spends in northern Minnesota on the lake with his friends, McGuyver, Beowulf, and Cooper (all canines of course).
About the Author
After having taught high school English and theater for 30+ years, Mary Knox-Johnson retired to see how the “real world” lives. After completing her short list of “things to do”, which included a swim with dolphins and the writing of two children’s books, Mary began a self taught venture into the realm of origami. She is also an experienced rug maker and weaver who dabbles in water colors and basket making. Her work can be seen in the Gallery North Art Gallery in Bemidji, Minnesota. She and her husband Dwayne live near Bemidji, Minnesota where Mary continues her work as an independent theater director, costumer and scenic designer. Marion Caroline Reil, born and raised in northern Minnesota lake country, holds a B.S. from Bemidji State University in Art and Social Science. Marion’s love of nature and animals permeates her art work. Marion, a member of the Gallery North Art Gallery in Bemidji, Minnesota, has received numerous awards and done artwork com missions for people all across the country. Alphabet Jambalaya is the third collaboration between Mary Knox-Johnson and Marion Caroline Reil. Other works include Thoughts from Pudge (A Philosophical Look at Life from a Dog’s Point of View) and Thoughts from Pudge II (The Mentoring Continues).
