About the Book

Rev. Jeremiah Douglas, Sr., a pastor in Southern Virginia, built the foundation of his family on the Word of God. His son, Jeremiah, II, rebelled against the humble and content philosophy resulting in a vow to never experience lack. He became a doctor, performing abortions. Dr. Douglas fathered twin sons: Jordan, who followed in his footsteps and Justin who chose the path of his grandfather. Justin impregnates his girlfriend, Tonya, in one night of weakness. Trying to escape the guilt, he leaves the country. Tonya is alone and at the doorstep of the clinic where Jordan practices. Her decision to abort a Douglas child changes the family forever.

About the Author

Angela Pilson was born in Martinsville, Virginia to the awesome parents of James, Sr. and Mertha Hairston. As the youngest of nine children, there were many opportunities to listen to and enjoy good literature and storytelling from parents and siblings. Her love for reading and, subsequently writing, grew and expanded throughout her childhood. Even though she majored in Biology later in college, her heart’s desire remained with the art of words. Today, she has returned to her first love. Residing in Lithonia, Georgia with her daughter, Elisabeth, she continues to develop her God-given gift of writing.
