About the Book

"Diary of Deception" is Marsha Brooke´s true Biography. I, Saundra Stone, her best friend, was the one chosen to finish this Diary and have it published when Marsha became ill. I was presented with napkins, paper bags, and dirty scraps of paper found on the streets of Chicago where Marsha was living with her fourth husband. He was the cause of the loss of everything she once had. She asked that I not change a word of her Diary, and I didn´t. (You will find the mistakes, I am sure.) But I kept my promise and for doing so, Marsha allowed me to use my name as the author. So this is really "my" first novel although it is not. "Diary of Deception" contains informative pages for those women addicted to sex, their husbands, and also their lovers and wives of the lovers. (So all you women, watch that husband of yours. Where is he tonight? And ladies remember: if he was untrue to his wife, will he be untrue to you?) Marsha´s fourth husband used and abused her, mentally and physically and together they lost everything. She felt hopeless because it was a new life style for her. But then, Stanley was a homeless schizophrenic and quite used to street life. This story is true, with only names and places changed to protect the guilty.

Sex Addiction is growing by leaps and bounds, partially because of the internet. It is one of the easiest addictions to acqure, and also one of the hardest to break. It has been called a "Steamroller to Hell."

It was Marsha’s wish to inform the public of the problems she incurred because of her sexual addiction and in publishing this, we only hoped to prevent others from experiencing the same pain as she did. An addiction comes on so gradually that a person is sometimes not aware of it. The complications are not noticed until it is too late.

Marsha had made a complete circle in life, from being a victim of poverty as a child, to a young woman who had everything, but she wasn’t satisfied. She continued to search for that "special man." The result was disaster. Her husbands and hundreds of men that she “knew” changed this woman from a happy person into another homeless and helpless victim of the negative aspects of life.

This Diary will bring both tears and laughter to the reader and I hope you will enjoy reading it and learn at least one thing from it! I´ll let you figure out for yourself what that one thing is.

I promise you one thing: You will never read another book quite like this one! Saundra
