About the Book
This book is my interpretation of the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew's Gospel. I taught scripture for over thirty years and I used stories to get my point across. This book, then, is not only an explanation of the Sermon, but also an illustration of it through stories. The goal of the book is twofold: for the readers to come to a better understanding of the sermon and also to come to a better knowledge of who Jesus is in their lives. If this is accomplished then I will have reached m goal. Good Reading!!
About the Author
I was born in Spokane WA in 1937 and attended school there. After high school I entered the Jesuits and was a member of the order for seventeen years. While in the Jesuits I taught for five years in Zambia, and spent one year studying in Uganda. When I left the order I taught religion for seventeen years at Forest Ridge, an all girls high school in Bellevue. I then taught religion to 7th and 8th graders for twelve years at St. Joseph's in Seattle. All the time I taught I used stories to get my points across. This book is a result of my teaching and storytelling.
