About the Author

Ronald Rico Joseph was born in Darlington, South Carolina. After graduating from St. John’s High School in Darlington, he attended Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia. Motivated and encouraged by the military members of his family and driven by his own intense desire to excel, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph became the first member of his family to attain officer status in the United States Army. Ronald has written several articles, manuscripts and published an earlier book of poems, entitled “The Lonely Captain”. An accomplished sportsman, he enjoys racquetball, skiing and tennis.
