About the Author

Marie Codispoti lives in Baldwin, New York with her husband and two daughters. When she isn’t teaching, Marie enjoys reading and writing poetry, dancing, and spending time with her girls. She hopes to teach writing and drama to others, and find time to travel with family and dear friends. “Kids know when the adults in their lives are truly happy. When I stand in front of a classroom or command the dinner table, there’s no doubt that I’m doing what I love to do.” Marie Codispoti is the author of Listen to the Sound of My Voice, A Collection of Poems for Mothers and Daughters. Kerry Rohe grew up on Long Island, New York and still lives there today with her husband and their two sons. She currently enjoys working as a Recreational Aide in an Assisted Living Facility and especially likes ‘crafting’ with the residents. This is her first picture book. She has always had a passion for painting and devotes her free time to painting anything that doesn’t move! Kerry also loves writing poetry, gardening and volunteering in her church and community. The illustrations were painted on board using acrylic paints.
