About the Book

It seems the world has gone adrift; or seemingly so. This alluring storybook of poetry encompasses both personal and public issues of life. In great imaginative form my words become the echo of muffled cries of pain, resounding sounds of joy and a deep faith that love conquers all. My heart speaks out with compassion for the abused, accused, confused and the misused people of the world. With simple words my poems become a brokerage for peace, and an inspiration for hopelessness. We can heal, if we shake the shackles and grow in love until the sunset of life!

About the Author

Elaine is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She reigns as the firstborn of eight and mother of Sherod, Morgan and Ryan. She has enjoyed the rewards of being an “Army Brat”. This afforded her the opportunity of living in numerous United States and abroad. Elaine adventurously circled the globe as a flight attendant from 1972 until 1992. Tragically her career ended and her life changed dramatically. After being declared legally blind Elaine claimed new vision through poetry. She is affectionately know as the “tissue box” writer because of her deeply sensitive and inspirational poems.
