About the Book
A two-day sports car rally into the mountains of California is a welcome change from their daily routines for Joe and Pat Gravert and their friends. Joe is an electronic engineer working on a research project for a company in one of the many cities along the Coast. Pat, the mother of their three children, is a busy housewife enjoying the closely knit friendships in their neighborhood. A peaceful picture but there is a storm starting in Pat’s emotions: a desire to find what she considers true happiness – a life completely opposite to the one she has now. How she goes about it is interwoven with Joe’s disappointment at work, showing some of industry’s politics in job promotions. The people and the story are fiction but the action is ‘real life’.
