Pablo, this little ladybug, who has many friends in the pastures, one day, wishes to sleep quietly on a soft green leaf of a tree. Guess who will disturb his quiet sleep? And guess how Pablo will react? Every child should read this book and hear this story. It is a lesson about courage. A little ladybug might as well become our children’s hero.
About the Author
Whenever I think about my childhood years, I become overjoyed by so many cherished memories of my tender years. Especially when I remember running after the butterflies in the prairies; cuddling and sleeping with my teddy-bear, staring at the deep dark sky, and listening to the howling wind. And yet other times, tucking my head under the arm of my grandmother and listening hungrily to her fairy tales. But there was one activity which fascinated me most, and that was reading children’s story books. These books simply became my best childhood friends. During my adulthood years, however, when I enrolled to the Creative Writing classes at University of Concordia, in Montreal, and later on when I took advanced level writing courses from Long-Ridge Writing Group, in West Redding, Connecticut, my love and tendency towards writing children’s story books grew in intensity. I felt the need of rekindling in the heart of each child that unique love towards books. I knew the imaginary and innocent world of every child was much richer than the real world of the grown-ups. With simple words I wish to tell our children to be brave, to have patience, to become good friends, and to help each other.
