About the Book
This is a noir potboiler based on a murder that occurred more than seventy-five years ago in Columbus, Ohio. The actual circumstances were more fascinating than anything the author could devise. Considerable verisimilitude is achieved by using actual names and authentic places, but this is entirely a work of fiction and it should not be construed in any other fashion. The personalities of all major characters were largely invented to enhance the fictional narrative. Furthermore, the conclusion has been altered materially, because the author does not know exactly how this story eventually ended. It is unclear if the tale has ended to this day.
