About the Author

AMERICAN GOODS By Bruce Cooke The author grew up in Garfield, New Jersey. He developed his interest in law from growing up in America in the volatile 1960’s and early 1970’s. He developed his interest in economics from his first penny coin collection book and from the informal math tutoring he received from his Aunt Mae. He developed his interest in sports from watching his beloved Yankees on channel 11 and playing the best pickup baseball games ever at the Belmont Oval. He attended Muhlenberg College where he graduated in 1974. He received his MBA from Rider University in 1983 and a law degree from New York Law School in 1991. He is currently pursuing an Education degree. He hopes to become a Math teacher in New Jersey public schools. The author resides in Plainsboro, New Jersey and works as a Food Program Specialist with the Department of Agriculture and as a tutor at Mercer County Community College. The author has many interests including sports, law, mathematics, and writing. He is the treasurer of the Outer Circle Ski Club and an active member of Princeton Toastmasters. This is the author’s second book. His first book- From Serfs to Kings “ A History of the Baseball Labor Movement “ was also publisher by Xlibris.
