About the Book

Do you really know America’s story? Most of us have been taught an alternative reality of how the ethnically mixed United States, especially as relates to the mélange of African-Americans, Native-Americans, and Caucasians, came to be and is. What really happened? This book opens the door to that pathway of truth.

About the Author

John Bailey is a long-term law enforcement professional with a Master’s Certification in the field. While serving as a police officer in Oklahoma and Texas — and after seeing the groundbreaking mini-series Roots — he became interested in studying genealogy, both his and that of our country. Mr. Bailey was spurred on in this effort by his sage grandmother’s influence, and by the growing realization that a great number of Americans don’t know the real history of our merged-race nation. This book is an effort to open further debate and encourage education on this vital topic. Mr. Bailey lives in the Southwest and enjoys nature walks, spending time with his family, and researching and reading history. Pat Coate is a freelance writer-editor also residing in the Southwest. She enjoys hiking, tennis, spending time with her family, and studying religion and history.
