About the Author

Born in the Midwest, Mary Adams has traveled widely in the United States, Mexico, Europe and Eastern Europe. Her multicultural experiences and her professional lives as dancer, journalist, editor, teacher and mental health professional have resulted in nationally published pieces and essays. She held administrative positions for the U.S. Air Force and for two universities – in addition to acting as consultant for the Ford Foundation's social and economic programs. Married to a painter/lithographer/art historian for many years, she has been a long-time supporter of both the visual and performing arts. She has a son, a daughter-in-law and four grand children.
