Gems of Glory

About the Book

“Gems of Glory” is a collection of 50 poems written over the years. Most are inspirational verses together with accounts of annual holidays, vacations, and notable events concerning family and friends.

In this small book, I hope to communicate my joy of life as a Christian by sharing the words and thoughts that God has given me. I hope the readers will enjoy the contents and give the Lord the praise.

About the Author

Gloria Nabors was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. As a youngster, she wrote poetry and created greeting cards. As a young Navy wife during WWII, she traveled extensively across the country, returning to New Jersey in the 1950’s where, through much hardship, she raised five children on her own in city housing projects. She went back to school to become a medical secretary and had a career for 16 years. Upon retirement, as a volunteer, Gloria led bible classes at a nursing home for 15 years, and shared her poetry there and at churches, missions, poetry clubs and public events.
