About the Author

Autobiography Diane Peterson retired from the teaching profession after thirty-four years of service. She taught a variety of grade levels but third grade was her favorite. Diane earned degrees in Elementary Education, Counseling, and Administration. She is an advocate of childrens’ literacy. Diane firmly believes that reading is the basis of all education. Diane and her husband, David, live in Indiana. Their son David is majoring in meterology. In her spare time Diane enjoys working in her yard, doing a variety of crafts, designing scrapbooks, and reading current literature. Diane hasn’t completely left the education field. She still works with student teachers and new teachers. She is currently writing a book entitled “Getting Out Just in Time”, which is about her thoughts on the teaching profession.
